Experience@Singapore: Engineering and Technology - 13 to 17 July

A programme that aims to provide students with insights to Singapore as an Engineering and Technology hub.

The 5-day programme will focus on the following themes:-

  1. Discovering Singapore - An introduction.
  2. Energy - Asia's Leading Energy Hub: Playing a critical role in meeting the world's energy demands.
  3. Electronics / Semiconductor - World Class Node for Electronics: Pushing the frontiers of electronics.
  4. Biomedical Science - Biopolis of Asia: Where talent fuels science and business.
  5. Environment & Water - Global Hydrohub: Creating solutions to address the world's environment and water challenges.

Who can participate

The programme is open to all penultimate, final year undergraduate and Master's students based in universities in North America, United Kingdom and Australia.

Applicants should be keen to explore a career in Singapore, have or expect at least a second upper class honours (or equivalent) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, and a good track record of extracurricular activities.

Accommodation and Airfares

Contact Singapore will co-fund 50% of each successful applicant's economy class return airfare from the country of study to Singapore - capped at S$700.

Contact Singapore will co-fund 50% of twin-sharing hotel accommodation for successful applicants. Contact Singapore will make reservations for participants' hotel accommodation in Singapore. Visit the website for full details and Terms and Conditions.

How do you apply for Experience@Singapore: Engineering & Technology?

Apply online to submit your application. It should include, in one single PDF or MS Word document:-

  1. Your CV including your institution name, course and year of study, grade point average, graduation and availability date, and other extra-curricular activities and awards.
  2. An essay of about 500 words on why you want to participate in Experience@Singapore and how the programme can benefit you.

Closing date: 15 May 2009. Successful candidates will be notified by 8 June 2009.
