Engineers Australia, Victoria Division is dedicated to representing and developing the engineering profession. It facilitates a variety of career events and seminars each year that may be of interest and benefit to engineering students.

Its forthcoming 2008 Engineering Careers Expo is targeted at young engineers - penultimate and final year engineering students in undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses - seeking full time or vacation employment and advice.

Attendees can:

• enjoy free presentations and talk with engineers
• have their resume checked by a professional
• network with colleagues, peers and prospective employers
• access professional career advice
• acquire the knowledge to support informed choices regarding education and career opportunities in engineering

Special features include:

• Exhibits by around 80 employers from a range of industries, with representatives on hand to provide career path resources, advice and employment information
• Free break-out presentation programs (two programs running concurrently)
