Career Education and Advice

Monash University Employment and Career Development delivers a range of career education and advice in the form of one-to-one career counselling, practical, interactive small-group workshops, discussion groups, email feedback and seminars.

Some activities are designed specifically for international students, but you are also encouraged to make the most of what's offered for all students.

Services are delivered at various campuses by consultants, qualified career counsellors, trained facilitators and sometimes guest employers.

  • Careers Counselling - useful if you require in-depth, personal advice on career direction and options, career planning, or assistance with skills identification and marketing yourself to employers in order to gain a competitive edge. Booking required.
  • Job Seeker Seminars - regular seminars run at lunchtimes throughout semester offering practical advice on finding and applying for work. Online registration required.
  • Resume Feedback - Receive email feedback about your resume from a career education consultant, or attend a practical, small-group workshop. Booking required for workshops.
  • Interview Practice - regular, small-group workshops giving students the opportunity to develop interview techniques for the graduate market , guided by a trained facilitator. Booking required.
