2008 Careers Fairs
Monash University’s Careers Fairs are highly
regarded by past employer participants, having twice in recent years been rated amongst the best
three nationally by editors of TheRecruiter magazine. They also enjoy
strong support from members of the Australian Association of Graduate
Employers (AAGE) and Graduate Careers Australia.
This year, our Graduate Careers Fairs alone enjoyed participation
by more than 150 employers and 6,000 students keen
to secure degree-related employment upon graduation.
2008 Graduate Careers Fairs
- Thursday 6 March
Morning: Business,
Commerce, Economics, Arts, Law
Afternoon: Engineering, Computing/IT
and Science
Held at the Clayton campus, these flagship events for final
year students typically attract 5,000 or more attendees annually,
presenting an ideal opportunity to raise your organisation’s
profile on campus, promote forthcoming graduate programs and engage
directly with high-calibre prospective graduates.
2008 Summer Vacation Employment Fair
- Thursday 7 August
1.00pm to 4.00pm - All Disciplines
Showcase your organisation's opportunities for our students. Our Clayton
Campus will be buzzing on Thursday 7 August when we host the 2008 Summer
Vacation Employment Fair. This event is for pre-final
year students seeking degree related
vacation, co-operative year, internship and voluntary opportunities and
attracts thousands of students each year.

Registration has closed for the 2008 Graduate
Careers Fairs and the Summer Vacation Employment Fair. Contact
an Employer Relations Consultant to discuss the possibility of
late registration for the Vacation Employment Fair, or review our other
services for employers for alternative ways to connect with Monash
students in your target discipline(s).
Registration
Registration has closed for the 2008 Graduate
Careers Fairs and the Summer Vacation Employment Fair. Registration
involves completion of a multi-stage form. The form is equipped with
a time-out security feature that automatically disconnects
without
saving data if left open and idle for more than 30 minutes. It is not
possible to save a partially completed form, so before commencing, please
be sure to have all the required details to hand.
The form will require you to:
- Select the event(s) you wish to attend
- Select a display option - either shell or space only in the
venue
- Select basic signage options for your exhibit
- Provide details about the opportunities you will promote at the event(s),
including target disciplines and year levels, applicant residency
criteria, location and number of vacancies
- Provide exhibitor, contact and billing details
- Provide numbers for catering and parking
- Confirm that all your details are correct before recording
the registration
Completing the form may take a few minutes,
depending on the amount of detail you enter, however
once completed, we will have virtually all the specifics we need to
organise
and publicise
your
participation to students and will not need to make repeated contact
with you to obtain further details in the period leading up to the
event(s).
